New Haven Kick Off - see the results

The Connecticut Business & Industry Association’s (CBIA) Education
Foundation, the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, New Haven Public
Schools, The Bilco Company and The United Illuminating Company will
kick off the new Connecticut State Scholars Program, aimed at getting
high
school
students
to take
tougher courses.
Speakers at the event include:
Kenneth O. Decko, CBIA president and CEO;
Rep. William Dyson, (D) New Haven;
Nathaniel Woodson, chairman and CEO of UIL Holdings, the parent company
of The United Illuminating Company;
Dr. Reginald R. Mayo, superintendent, New Haven Public Schools;
Roger Joyce, vice president of engineering, The Bilco Company; and
Joe Randolph, director of implementation, Center for State Scholars.

The Connecticut Business & Industry Association’s (CBIA’s)
Education Foundation, the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce, the Housatonic
Valley Economic Development Partnership, Danbury Public Schools, Boehringer
Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals Inc., Dow Chemical and GE Commercial Finance
will kick off a new Connecticut State
Scholars Program, focusing on the need for more students to graduate
with a solid academic foundation that will prepare them for the future.
Speakers include:
John Rathgeber, CBIA executive vice president;
Cristina Harter, managing director, Capital Markets, GE Vendor Financial
Services;
Caswall Price, corporate academic relations & diversity manager,
Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc.;
Dr. Eddie Davis, superintendent, Danbury Public Schools;
Joe Randolph, director of implementation, Center for State Scholars.
